Scope: Aluminium Canopies, Shrouds, External and Internal Fins

Metal Mart was engaged to supply and install a diverse range of aluminium architectural elements for the development at 52 Sainsbury Road. Working with Canam Commercial, this package required a strong focus on accuracy, detailing, and durability across both functional and aesthetic components.

The scope included a series of powder-coated aluminium canopies, each fabricated from 6 millimetre folded aluminium plate. All corners were fully welded in-factory and finished in a Dulux standard colour to achieve a clean and consistent appearance. Each canopy was site-measured, shop drawn, and installed with concealed fixings, integrating into timber backing structures provided by others.

We also supplied aluminium window shrouds fabricated to suit multiple façade conditions. These were folded to precise dimensions, powder coated, and fixed in place using a concealed screw system to maintain clean visual lines across all elevations.

Inside the building, Metal Mart supplied and installed vertical aluminium fins to the main stairwell. Fabricated from 100 by 50 millimetre RHS profiles, each fin was fixed in alignment to create a bold and continuous vertical feature. On the exterior, we provided a wider set of external fins using a combination of 100 by 50 and 50 by 50 hollow section profiles. All fins were powder coated and installed using structural rivets and coated end caps to match.

This project demonstrates Metal Mart’s capability to deliver highly detailed, architecturally integrated aluminium work across both interior and exterior applications. From canopy structures to vertical screening, our team ensured every profile was delivered and installed to specification, contributing to the overall sharpness and performance of the build.
