Scope: Steel and Aluminium Balustrades, Stainless Steel Handrails, Exterior Balustrades and Handrails

Metal Mart partnered with Focus Construction on the new gymnasium at Botany Downs Secondary College, delivering the balustrade and handrail package across the building's internal stairs and exterior access.

The main stair balustrade combined powdercoated steel posts with aluminium perforated panels, topped with satin finished stainless steel handrails, a clean pairing of durability and finish that suits a busy school gym. Further stainless handrails were fixed to the stair walls on proprietary brackets, polished to a 320 grit finish throughout. Outside, we supplied and installed hot dip galvanised handrails and balustrades to the exterior stairs, finished to stand up to the elements.

Every run was fabricated to suit its exact location and installed to a clean, consistent standard, the kind of dependable, well finished work a school building relies on day to day.

Botany Downs adds to the education projects we deliver across Auckland, and marks another build alongside Focus Construction, who we have also partnered with at North Shore Hospital and Manurewa South School.
