Metal Mart partnered with SMC Construction on the Hamlin Apartments, a 30 apartment development at 57A Hamlin Road delivering quality, affordable homes for whānau Māori. Led by Tauhara North No 2 Trust and designed by Brewer Davison, the $25 million project is a meaningful addition to Auckland's housing landscape, and one we were proud to contribute to.

Our team fabricated and installed the balustrade and handrail packages throughout the development. The balustrade panels were fabricated from solid steel flat bar and powdercoated for a durable, low maintenance finish, paired with polished stainless steel handrails custom bent to suit each stair and landing. With 30 panels and matching handrails delivered across the three storey walk up blocks, consistency was everything. Every panel and rail needed to install cleanly, repeat accurately, and hold its finish across the whole development.

Inside the apartments, we also supplied powdercoated aluminium flashings throughout the interiors, finishing junctions cleanly across all 30 homes with the same attention to fit and finish as the main packages.

Our in-house design, laser cutting, and fabrication capability meant each component arrived on site ready to fit, keeping the installation programme moving and the finish consistent from the first apartment to the last.
