Scope: Aluminium and Stainless Steel Tread Plate Covers, Infill Panels, Aluminium Trim to Underside of Timber Leaners
Metal Mart was engaged to support upgrade works at Massey University’s Albany Campus, supplying a mix of architectural and protective metalwork solutions across key public areas. The project required careful detailing to match existing finishes while delivering long-term durability in a high-traffic environment.
Our scope included the fabrication and installation of aluminium and stainless steel tread plate covers. These were designed to protect floor junctions and transitions while offering slip resistance and robust wear performance. Profiles were formed to suit on-site conditions and installed with precision to maintain a clean and consistent finish.
We also supplied a range of infill panels to close out open voids and structural interfaces. These were custom sized and finished to align visually with surrounding materials, helping to improve both the safety and the polish of the built environment.
To complete the package, Metal Mart fabricated aluminium trim for the underside of timber leaners installed around social and learning spaces. These trims provided a tidy edge, concealed fixings, and added protection to timber edges vulnerable to damage over time.
This project reflects Metal Mart’s ability to deliver smart, detail-driven metalwork for institutional environments. From small-profile trims to functional access covers, our team ensured each component was measured, finished, and installed to perform for years to come.
