Ormiston Primary School

Location: Ormiston Primary School, Flat Bush, Auckland

Client: NZ Force Construction

Scope: Walkway Balustrades, Stair Balustrades, Perforated Aluminium Screens, Saddle Flashings

Metal Mart was engaged to deliver a large-scale architectural metalwork package for the Stage 3 and 4 expansion of Ormiston Primary School. Working with NZ Force Construction, our team provided a variety of fabricated solutions across multiple buildings and circulation areas, supporting both functional safety and architectural expression.

Our scope included the supply and installation of balustrade systems across external walkways and staircases. These balustrades featured a combination of galvanised structural posts and aluminium vertical rails, fabricated to exact specifications and installed with care to meet educational facility safety requirements.

We also supplied and installed a series of perforated aluminium panels across designated façade areas. These were fabricated from 3 millimetre aluminium sheet and mounted using custom outriggers, contributing both privacy screening and visual depth to the school’s design. Saddle flashings were also installed around SHS outriggers to ensure weather protection and clean detailing.

In total, the package included dozens of units installed across multiple zones, with careful coordination to align with construction sequencing and site access requirements.

This project highlights Metal Mart’s capacity to deliver high-volume, specification-driven metalwork for education sector builds. From structural elements to architectural screens, our team ensured quality outcomes across all components and a smooth delivery from shop drawings to final install.
