Metal Mart was engaged to deliver a comprehensive metalwork package for a critical infrastructure facility in New Zealand. Due to the sensitive nature of the project, location and client details remain undisclosed. The scope covered a wide range of architectural and security-focused elements, requiring precision fabrication, careful coordination, and adherence to stringent performance standards.

Our team supplied and installed extensive security mesh systems across walls, ceilings, and mechanical intake areas. These were fabricated using pre-galvanised mesh panels fixed to galvanised angle frames and supported by SHS steel posts. Installation included coordination of service penetrations, cable tray cut-outs, and integrated access gates to maintain both security and functionality.

In parallel, we delivered and installed multiple flooring systems, including heavy-duty FRP mesh floors and solid cover plates, all mounted using clamp brackets. These were designed to support load requirements while providing long-term durability in high-access mechanical zones.

Throughout the facility, Metal Mart also provided stainless steel kick plates for over 150 doors, aluminium chequer plate wall protection in corridors, and powder-coated aluminium corner guards in high-wear areas. We fabricated and installed balustrades around the ground floor fuel tank enclosure using galvanised pipe and base-mounted posts for robust fall protection.

To complete the package, flat bar aluminium skirting was installed in mechanical and service rooms, along with custom flashings and trim sections to close out junctions between architectural surfaces and service zones.

This project demonstrates Metal Mart’s capability to deliver large-scale, technically demanding metalwork packages across multiple building zones. With a focus on quality, consistency, and secure integration, we helped support the successful delivery of a high-performance, mission-critical facility.
